The Lightning Thief By Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson is not a normal person. Instead, he is a half blood, and monsters are always out looking for him and wanting to kill him. Living in the normal world is not an option for Percy. Since he is a half blood, he needs to go somewhere safe, so his mother sends him away to a camp where Percy will be safe from monsters. Depending on how the world goes on, Percy might have to spend the rest of his life at Camp Half Blood. During his miserable life at the camp, Percy is offered a quest, to retrieve Zeus’s (the god of the sky or thunder) master lightning bolt, with his two friends Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood. While they are on their quest, they also have to watch out for monsters, since they are not protected by the camps boarders. Along the way, they run into some trouble. More like a lot of trouble.
