During his miserable life at the camp, Percy is offered a quest, to retrieve Zeus’s (the god of the sky or thunder) master lightning bolt, with his two friends Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood. While they are on their quest, they also have to watch out for monsters, since they are not protected by the camps boarders. Along the way, they run into some trouble. More like a lot of trouble.
